Master of Marketing

This program develops your skills to plan and execute marketing strategies and tactics for not-for-profit, government, and private organisations. It is comprehensive, contemporary, and practical in developing your skills in modern marketing. Accredited through the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), our program fast-tracks graduates to becoming Certified Practising Marketers. It also recognises relevant professional learning for up to four courses, which means you could reduce your study time by a third. Choose our fully flexible online learning options to study at the time and pace that works for you. Or, make use of facilities like the Marketing Technology Lab through studying face-to-face at NuSpace in Newcastle CBD. A Graduate Certificate in Marketing is also available to study and can be used as a pathway into the masters program.

Structure

The Master of Marketing requires the completion of twelve courses (120 units). Students are required to complete eight Core courses (80 units) and four courses (40 units) from the Directed course list.

Entry requirements

  • Bachelor (Honours) Degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification
  • orBachelor Degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, in a related field such as accounting, business, commerce, communication, economics, finance, human resource management, industrial relations, management, or marketing
  • or Bachelor Degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, not in a related field and 1 year relevant organisational experience
  • or At least 7 years' relevant organisational experience, including 2 years in a management position
  • or Successful completion of 75% (30 units) of one of the following UoN programs: Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, Graduate Certificate in Marketing, Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting.
