If you’re a registered midwife, study our Master of Midwifery Studies program and gain a deeper understanding of contemporary midwifery theories and practices. This will prepare you for leadership roles in midwifery, models of care, and maternity services. Entry requirements
- Domestic applicants must be a Midwife holding current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). International applicants must be a Midwife or a Registered Nurse working in a maternity environment in their own country, with a minimum of one year's experience as documented in a professional curriculum vitae.
Recognition
PHAR6701 and PHAR6703 and the Midwifery Primary Care specialisation in this program are accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Program of study for midwives’ Endorsement – Scheduled Medicine. Graduates of this program who have completed both PHAR6701 and PHAR6703; or the Midwifery Primary Care specialisation are eligible to apply for endorsement with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme administered by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
