The Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability will empower you with the knowledge to play a professional role in solving environmental problems that confront contemporary societies. The structure of our program will provide you with specialised environmental management and sustainability skills together with the ability to determine, environmental impact assessment against legislation and policy. You have the opportunity to focus in the areas of natural systems management or sustainability as a specialisation. On completion of the degree, you will have a high level understanding of key issues and approaches in environmental management, sustainability and decision-making. The Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability is open to graduates from a wide range of backgrounds and experience. It caters for both suitably qualified graduates from cognate fields and mid-career professionals wishing to gain professional postgraduate qualifications. The program provides specialised skills needed to pursue a career in resolving environmental issues.

Entry Requirements:

Entry with a Bachelor degree in a discipline other than Environmental Science will be required to complete 160 units; Entry with a Bachelor degree in a discipline other than Environmental Science plus a minimum 2 years relevant work experience may be eligible to complete between 120 and 160 units; Entry with a Bachelor degree in Environmental Science will be required to complete 120 units; Entry with a Bachelor Honours degree or Graduate Certificate in a discipline other than Environmental Science will be required to complete 120 units; Entry with a Bachelor Honours degree; or Graduate Certificate in Environmental Science will be required to complete 80 units.

Structure:

16 coursework courses (160 units) including 4 Core courses, 5 Specialisation courses, 5 Directed courses, and 2 Electives. Students may be eligible to complete a reduced number of units based on previous qualifications and/or experience. Refer to full admission requirements for pathway options.
