This program is designed for students with backgrounds in disciplines other than information technology, who wish to acquire skills in this rapidly advancing field. Students are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future through an excellent foundation in the theory and technology of computer science. Graduates possess IT skills in programming; software design; database technology; human-computer interaction; networking; and practical project management that are applicable to industry. Electives allow students to gain expertise in electronic commerce; technology management; health informatics and business; and geographical information systems.

Degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree in a field other than Information Technology or Computer Science with a GPA of at least 4.5 on a 7 point scale; OR relevant post-secondary study and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
