The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine students to undertake research into the field of geriatric medicine, in particular Alzheimer's disease, as part of their requirements for a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine, Master of Philosophy or Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy.

Eligibility

An applicant is eligible for the scholarship, if the applicant - (a) submits an application to the Dean, by the closing date for applications; and (b) is either intermitting or has concurrent enrolment in the program to undertake a research project as part of the requirement of - (i) concurrent MBBS/MD-MPhil; or (ii) intercalated MBBS/MD-MPhil or MBBS/MD-PhD; and (c) is undertaking research into the field of clinical geriatric medicine with preference given to students researching Alzheimer's disease; and (d) does not hold another scholarship that the Dean considers to be similar.
