The Graduate Certificate in Health Research is suitable for health professionals wishing to upskill in foundational skills and knowledge in health research methods. Students develop research capacity in understanding, appraising, and designing health research, which provides them with solid foundations to pursue further research training, such as a Master of Research. The degree helps students to apply evidence-based practice (EBP) into clinical decision making processes, which is now recognised as a core competency across a range of health professions. Students graduate with core research competencies including understanding research designs and formulating research questions, data acquisition and analysis, interpretation of research studies and their clinical relevance.

Entry Requirements:

Completed bachelor degree from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent. Where applicants hold educational qualifications lower than bachelor degree (eg Level 6 AQF) a case may be made on the basis of meritous performance in the educational qualifications, relevant professional work experience or publications. The case must be approved by the Program Director.
