Graduate Certificate in Space Studies

The Graduate Certificate in Space Studies allows students to extend their learnings from the Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program (SH-SSP) with targeted, multidisciplinary research into a theme with direct space application, such as global warming, environmental monitoring, disaster mitigation, GIS, remote area communications, or telemedicine. The SH-SSP comprises the first half of this Graduate Certificate and is an intensive, five week, live-in experience during the southern hemisphere summer. Completion of the SH-SSP is a UniSA prerequisite for this qualification.

Entry Requirements:

Completed Bachelor degree from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent; and completed Southern Hemisphere Summer Space Program at UniSA or completed nine-week International Space University Summer Space Program. International students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained the required standards prior to admission.

Study Pathways:

Upon successful completion of the SH-SSP and/or the Graduate Certificate in Space Studies, students may be granted credit in a UniSA undergraduate program, pending approval of the UniSA Program Director. The Graduate Certificate in Space Studies can provide a pathway towards further tertiary study or a career in the space sector.
