Master of Clinical Pharmacy

The program prepares pharmacists to provide clinical pharmacy services in hospitals and other clinical environments, and advanced primary care settings, thereby enhancing the quality use of medicine. Graduates will be able to take a leading role in the decision making process of drug and drug product selection for individual patients, provide specialist drug information and education programs to patients and healthcare providers, effectively monitor a patient's therapy and critically evaluate clinical research.

Entry Requirements:

Australian applicants are required to have a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent; be a Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia; and have experience in a direct patient care environment; International applicants are required to hold an award from a tertiary institution which is at least equivalent to a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and be a Registered Pharmacist in their own country or country of residence; and have experience in a direct patient care environment; English language requirements and proof of experience in a patient care environment required


54 Units of study; first year 36 Units of intensive pharmacotherapeutics/medication management modules (including 9 Units of research skills preparatory instruction); 18 units clinical pharmacy skills in a practice environment and completion of a research project.

Available externally/online in the student's home country with compulsory workshops held in Adelaide or Singapore. Program builds on skills of practice developed as an undergraduate student and is not a pathway to registration as a pharmacist in Australia.
