As a legacy of the 25th Birthday in 2016, UniSA launched the 25th Birthday Scholarship Fund to raise funds for scholarships, grants and prizes in the key areas of equity, excellence, international, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Alumni, staff, and other supporters donated generously through two fundraising appeals and a landmark fundraising Gala Dinner.
Eligibility Requirements
The UniSA Online Women in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Grant supports high-achieving female students commencing a UniSA Online STEM program offered by the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment. The eligible STEM programs are: - Construction Management. - IT and Data Analytics. Eligibility and selection criteria: - Commencing female student with UniSA Online. - Undertaking a UniSA Online eligible STEM program. - Full-time or part-time load. - Submission of a written statement. Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 500 words) outlining: - Academic achievements. - Why they have chosen to study their current program. - Future career goals and impact they would like to have on their chosen profession. - How the current degree supports their aspirations. - Willingness to act as an ambassador for UniSA in the year in which they receive the grant to document the impact of the grant (e.g. online promotion and testimonials). The grant will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and information provided in the written statement. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to attend a selection panel interview conducted via teleconference.
