Advanced Community Care Association Honours Scholarship

The Advanced Community Care Association (ACCA) was formed to promote and implement safe alternatives to unnecessary hospitalisation. Working with non-government organisations providing aged care and other community services, the ACCA wished to achieve the following objectives: coordinate community services to provide safe alternatives to unnecessary hospitalisation; improve the health outcomes of people through developing and implementing health delivery models whereby community organisations are capable of providing an extended range of care services in the home or community setting; and to do all such things as are conducive to the attainment of the above objectives.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be undertaking a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours); have completed an undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline; and have as their principal project supervisor a staff member of the Division of Health Sciences who is a member of the University's Research Register, and who is aligned with an existing or developing research concentration. The applicant's project must be aligned to the values of Advanced Community Care Association and aimed at the further understanding of the practical clinical, organisational and financial implications of home-based alternatives to hospital care.
