PhD Scholarship in GPS Applications of General Relativity

Applications are invited for a PhD Scholarship in the 'applications of general relativity to global satellite navigation systems' to be supervised jointly by Professor Jim Hill (School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences, University of South Australia) and Dr Samuel Drake (DST group).
Eligibility
Applicants must: have a theoretical background and hold an honours degree in either Physics, Applied Mathematics or Mathematical Physics. A particular knowledge of general relativity is not absolutely essential, although some knowledge of relativity is desirable. Knowledge of tensor analysis and the algebraic package MAPLE would also be useful.
