Accelerated Entry Pathway Program

The Accelerated Entry Pathway Program is an intensive program offered over Semester 3. The program will assist students to become a successful university student by developing academic skills before starting a degree. It will help students transition from school to university in a supportive, on-campus, adult learning environment. This program is suitable for students who are in Year 12 and: want to gain entry to a degree program at USQ; need to meet the English subject pre-requisite required for entry into a preferred USQ degree; want an introduction to how to study at university level; want to find out more about university to see if study is suitable; did not undertake an OP at school and want to go to university; are unsure if their OP will give entry to the requested degree.

Entry Requirements:

All applicants must be undertaking Year 12 or equivalent in the year of application. All students are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements.


To successfully complete the Accelerated Entry Pathway Program students must successfully complete the two compulsory core courses. Students will be required to attend two Residential Schools in Toowoomba or Springfield. Students will attend class sessions every day during Residential School. All sessions are compulsory and are designed to assist with study and assessments throughout the program.

Study Pathways:

Successful completion of this program meets the English pre-requisite (4, SA) for entry into USQ undergraduate programs and will provide eligibility to apply for entry into a specific list of USQ programs. Upon completion of the Accelerated Entry Pathway Program (AEPP), students wishing to articulate into USQ undergraduate programs which require additional pre-requisites for entry may apply to study courses from the Tertiary Preparation Program.

Further information:

Students are able to enrol in external mode only. All students will be required to attend mandatory residential schools at a USQ campus. The Accelerated Entry Pathway Program is a non-award program.
