This highly flexible program enables students to choose up to three areas of specialisation (majors) from accounting, business information systems, commercial law, finance, industrial relations and human resource management, international business, management, marketing or business analytics. Students will be part of an elite group of high achievers with a diverse range of interests, and have the opportunity to develop enhanced communication skills and unrivalled depth of knowledge.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 HSC or equivalent. Assumed knowledge: Mathematics. From 2019, this course will require a course prerequisite of Mathematics (Band 4 or higher).


192 credit points; up to 3 majors. Majors can be taken from the Faculty of Agriculture and environment, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, or Faculty of Science.

Practical experience: An Industry Placement Program is available locally and internationally, involving a work placement over 10 weeks during semester or an equivalent number of hours over the summer or winter vacation. Career opportunities: Examples include accountant, business systems analyst, entrepreneur, economist, financial dealer and broker, human resources specialist, investment banker, management consultant, marketing executive, project manager, stock trader.


By completing a sequence of units that includes accounting, finance and commercial law, students may be eligible for professional accreditation with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Depending on units selected, professional recognition is also available from the Australian Human Resources Institute.
