This combined degree offers students opportunities to add other areas of study to the technology-based Engineering degree. With changes in the workplace, flexibility to change careers is important, these degrees enable students to add a second qualification and enhance their job prospects. Students undertake major study in two areas of commerce, including accounting and economics, econometrics, finance, human resources management, industrial relations and marketing. Applicants may take any Engineering specialised stream as a component of a combined degree, provided their ATAR is above or equal to the cut-off for the stream.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent. HSC Mathematics Extension 1, Physics. From 2019, this course will require a course prerequisite of Mathematics (Band 4 or higher). The assumed knowledge will still apply.


This course enables completion of a combined Engineering and Commerce degree in 5 years.
