Mechanical engineering is a broad branch of professional engineering, and mechanical engineers are found in almost every type of engineering activity, from design through to development and construction. The program incorporates advanced computer usage to combine creativity with practicality. Students can specialise in the final year and will have opportunities to make industry and professional contacts.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; selection is via ATAR. HSC Mathematics Extension 1, Physics. From 2019, this course will require a course prerequisite of Mathematics (Band 4 or higher). The assumed knowledge will still apply.

Management Stream in Mechanical Engineering: at the end of first year students may elect to take up the Management Engineering option.
