The program includes the study of biology, chemistry and introductory pharmacy units in first year, with a progressive emphasis on practical pharmacy experience in subsequent years. Students may have the opportunity to undertake an international exchange in the final year.
Standard entry requirements
Assumed knowledge: Mathematics, Chemistry. From 2019, this course will require a course prerequisite of Mathematics (Band 4 or higher). The assumed knowledge will still apply. Recommended studies: Biology or Physics.
The Pharmacy Board of Australia requires graduates to complete 1,824 hours (one year) of supervised practical training followed by a registration examination. Graduates need to complete an approved Intern Training Program (ITP) during the supervised training year.
