- Qualifications Mandatory for course entry To be eligible for admission to the DMD in 2024, applicants must meet the following requirements: Satisfactory performance* in an eligible bachelor’s degree at the time of application, as indicated by Grade Point Average (GPA)
- And Satisfactory performance* in an admissions test – Domestic applicants must submit eligible Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) results with their application. International applicants must submit eligible GAMSAT, United States Dental Admission Test (DAT), or Canadian Dental Aptitude Test (CDAT) results with their application.
Recognition
Graduates of the accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program are immediately eligible for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board in each state and territory in Australia. The course is also recognised internationally by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (UK) and is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Students graduating from an AVMA-accredited school have their degree recognised in North America and are entitled to sit the US National Veterinary Licensing Examinations.
