This course is flexible, online and available part-time. It is designed for health professionals and health service administrative staff wishing to gain expert skills in leading effective change management, systems integration knowledge, privacy and security management. The course includes information about: electronic medical records health information retrieval and analytics data mining and knowledge discovery data security bio informatics and bio statistics managing change The multi-disciplinary, multi-dimensional field of Health Informatics is the application of information technology to healthcare delivery. It focusses on the effective use of information and discovery of knowledge for providing real world solutions for improving care delivery and health outcomes. By its very nature, health informatics is challenging and complex. Yet it is this complexity that makes it such an intriguing, exciting and rewarding field in which to be involved.

Standard entry requirements
Hold a three -year degree with a major in a health related or communications technology area, or have experience and/or qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Head of School or their delegate.
