Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) refers to a broad domain of healing resources that encompasses all health systems, modalities, and practices and their accompanying theories and beliefs, other than those intrinsic to the politically dominant health system of a particular society of culture in a given historical period. This course has been developed to assist health professionals in developing the evidence-based knowledge and skills required to meet the consumer demand for CAM products as well as satisfying their professional and ethical responsibilities. It is a fully online course, designed to be completed on a part-time basis. It consists of eight core subjects taught by the Division of Pharmacy, School of Medicine, Faculty of Health. Candidates may complete the requirements of the course in a minimum of four semesters (two years) and a maximum of five years, from the time of first enrolment.
