As a provisional psychologist, this one year internship will support you to undertake the sixth year of training required to become a general registered psychologist. Incorporating foundations of ethical practice, professional development and practicum experience, you will develop the skills needed to practice in a manner that enhances client safety, treatment outcomes, and develops a model of sustainable practice to support long-term engagement in the profession.

Standard entry requirements

Applicants will have completed a fifth-year tertiary qualification in psychology accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (e.g. Master of Professional Psychology). All applicants will have current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist (which requires you to meet all the requirements for registration).
