Founding Principal’s Access Scholarship

Level of study: Undergraduate / VET

Closing date: 16-Jan-26

The Founding Principal’s Access Scholarship has been established through the generosity of the Founding Principal of University College (UC), Professor Janelle Allison. University College was established in 2017 to expand access to higher education for students from diverse educational and life backgrounds. Professor Allison, the first in her family to attend university, began her own journey at the University of Queensland in 1970. She describes her university experience as a “love affair that lasted for 50 years, which helped her find her place.” Through this scholarship, Professor Allison seeks to support students from regional Tasmania to continue their journey from University College into bachelor study at the University of Tasmania, providing encouragement and recognition at a pivotal transition point.
