This course enables project management students and experienced industry professionals to complete a specialist course in project risk management. Project risk specialists have a growing array of career opportunities. Coursework covers commercial project management, managing project complexity and advanced risk management for project managers. Students have the opportunity to choose an elective subject in an area of specialisation. Subjects are offered in block mode, and learning activities emphasise application of concepts to real-world problems, effective professional quality communication, and the role of analysis in identifying and managing project risk. This program provides practice-based knowledge, skills and tools for the identification and management of risk in projects across several industry sectors, underpinned by theory and research.

  • UTS recognised bachelor degree, or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months' relevant work experience, or Advanced Diploma in Project Management at pass level plus a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience. The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
  • Or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21
  • Or AE5: Pass
  • Or PTE: 58-64
  • Or CAE: 176-184. Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place. International students: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration.
