Mark Lyons Not-for-Profit and Social Enterprise Management Scholarship

The scholarship aims to improve the quality of leadership and management skills in the Australian not-for-profit sector. In investing in the leadership and management capacities in this sector, it is hoped that the scholarship will also contribute to the promotion of community wellbeing; to overcoming disadvantage; and to developing the values and skills that strengthen Australian democracy.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or permanent residents, or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be enrolled full-time or part-time in either Master of Not-for-Profit and Social Enterprise Management or a UTS Research degree focusing on not-for-profit sector related research; coursework students must have completed 12 credit points of study and have achieved a minimum WAM of 75 per cent. Selection is based on: motivation and commitment to study/research in the area of Not-for-Profit and Social Enterprise Management; demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life; potential for the receipt of the Scholarship to assist the student in their studies; financial disadvantage and other educational barriers (financial disadvantage, rural/regional background, disability, carer responsibilities, sole parent responsibilities, long term medical condition/disability, Indigenous Australian background, refugee background) may be taken into consideration.
