New Colombo Plan Scholarships Program

The New Colombo Plan Scholarships Program aims to provide opportunities for the best and brightest university students from Australia to study in the Indo-Pacific. The New Colombo Plan includes options to study in 38 participating countries and territories across the region. Sixty high-calibre Australian university students will have the opportunity to undertake at least one study period, and up to a full academic year of study in one of these destinations. An internship/mentorship component is strongly encouraged.

Eligibility Requirements

The following are the minimum criteria for selection required by the New Colombo Plan (NCP) Scholarship. A UTS candidate must:; be nominated by University of Technology Sydney.; be an Australian citizen - applicants cannot undertake their scholarship in a host location where they hold dual citizenship or permanent residency or where they have previously been a citizen or permanent resident; be enrolled in units at an on-shore campus of an Australian University during the application process.; be between 18 and 30 years of age (inclusive) for non-Indigenous applicants, or between 18 and 35 years of age (inclusive) for Indigenous applicants, on 1 January of the year of the scholarship round; be undertaking a Bachelor Degree or Bachelor Honours Degree when the scholarship program commences.; demonstrate high academic achievement for their undergraduate course at the time of application, as determined by the nominating home university.; not be a previous recipient of a New Colombo Plan Scholarship.
