University of the Sunshine Coast (USC)

This combined business and science degree develops students' innovative business thinking with a strong scientific base. The course offers flexibility for students to tailor their degree and add majors and minors that spark their interests and career ambitions by combining interests in areas that complement each other such as marketing and public health, or management and environmental science. Advanced analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems give students an attractive skill set for many science and business roles.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Recommended studies in English; Maths A, B or C; at least one science subject


Students study 32 subjects, including: 6 introductory business subjects; 2 advanced business subjects; 8 elective business subjects which can be used to comprise a major; 6 science introductory subjects; a science major (8 subjects) and 2 elective subjects

The University of the Sunshine Coast offers a Regional Preference Scheme for eligible applicants who reside or attend school in one of the following regional council areas: Sunshine Coast Regional Council; Noosa Council; Gympie Regional Council; Moreton Bay Regional Council; Somerset Regional Council; Fraser Coast Regional Council; South Burnett Regional Council. For eligible applicants an additional OP score of one or two selection ranks is granted.


Students and graduates may become members/associate members of various Australian professional bodies depending on their study specialisations.
