This program allows students to fast-track a career in nursing with this accelerated graduate entry.This course is designed to meet the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse and students will be eligible to apply for registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA). Students will study courses including anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, assessment and care of people, mental health, and drug therapy. Students will complete 800 hours of practical experience in clinical settings. Clinical placements are supervised by experienced clinicians in a variety of hospitals, aged care facilities, health agencies and community settings


198 units. 3 Introductory subjects and 14 advanced subjects. Semester 1 intake: Only part-time pathway available: 3 years minimum completion time. Semester 2 intake: full-time or part-time pathways available: 2.3 years minimum completion time (2 years full-time plus 8 week industry placement block).

  • Or international equivalent to pre-registration standard
  • Or Certificate in Nursing and a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Evidence of hepatitis B immunisation

  • Blue Card


Graduates are eligible to apply for registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Students and graduates are also eligible to apply for membership of the Royal College of Nursing Australia, which is affiliated with the International Council of Nurses.
