The Graduate Diploma in Heritage Studies comprise non-fieldwork units from the Master of Heritage Studies program. The advanced course develops the skills of heritage professionals working in government, museums, and heritage agencies or graduates who seek a new career in the conservation industry. Those who successfully complete the diploma may obtain credit towards the Master of Heritage Studies.
The course consists of units to a total value of 48 points.

Standard entry requirements
- A relevant bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA with the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent in the Level 3 units of a relevant major
- Or Graduate Certificate in Heritage Studies, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA with the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent
