Master of Mining and Energy Laws

This program is designed to give legal and non-legal professionals an understanding specific field of law relevant to the mining and energy industries. Students will learn about petroleum law, mining law, corporate governance for resources companies and the agreements used in the petroleum industry. Optional areas of study include international oil and gas law, environmental law, international environmental law, climate change and emissions trading and oil and gas project development law as well as any subject selected from the Master of Laws program.

Entry Requirements:

Bachelor of Laws from UWA or equivalent completed to a high standard; or completed all units required for the Graduate Diploma in Law from UWA with a weighted average mark of at least 60%; or completed all units required for the Graduate Diploma in Energy Law from UWA with a weighted average mark of at least 60%; or completed all units required for the Graduate Diploma in Commercial and Resources Law from UWA with a weighted average mark of at least 60%; or a Bachelor degree with Honours in a relevant subject area requiring at least 4 years of full-time study or equivalent
