The Master of Music International Pedagogy is designed to prepare students to be among the most sophisticated scholars, musicians and educators. Students will acquire essential skills and knowledge through the analysis and application of a variety of studies. These include the basic tenets of educational psychology, philosophy, music pedagogy, as well as internationally recognised topics critically important to preparing students for further research in music. This degree utilised a cohort-bases approach to develop student-centred learning environments where collaboration becomes an essential component to student success. The course is delivered predominantly on-line with two residential components of 2-3 weeks duration. It is essential that students undertaking this course have access to a community or school based choir, band, orchestra or other ensemble on a regular basis. It is each students responsibility to arrange this.

Entry Requirements:

Relevant bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification as recognised by UWA; and the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent in the level 3 units of a relevant major. Minimum English language competence. Please note there is no teaching accreditation attached to this degree program.
