Engineers design systems to ensure ample clean water for the world's population, to find non-polluting energy sources, to create ways to assist healthy living and ageing, and to advance medical and health technologies. Due to rapid developments in computer technology and its application to engineering, there is a significant demand for engineers with a much broader knowledge of computer interfacing and programming.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; selection via ATAR; Assumed knowledge: any 2 units of English plus mathematics (not Mathematics General 2); or TAFE Certificates (diploma or advanced diploma); or previous tertiary study


Students must complete the prescribed engineering program related to their major and complete a major from the Computer Science program. This BE degree is structured flexibly and progression is on a subject by subject basis. All Engineering students are required to complete 12 weeks of approved professional experience to meet professional requirements of the accrediting body - Engineers Australia.
