After completing subjects in this degree, students will be able to apply knowledge of psychological principles and applications to marketing and organisational practices. Students will also apply knowledge of research method to commercial issues in local, national and international contexts. In the business subjects, students will demonstrate the capacity for independent learning with respect to the professional development of human behaviour in business, organisational and marketing contexts. Students will apply critical thinking skills to examine human behaviour in an organisational context. Students will also demonstrate ethical and responsible decision-making in the business context. UOW double degrees aim to broaden a student's knowledge and skill base and improve career options in competitive, increasingly interactive fields. The programs are designed to enhance a student's educational, academic and professional qualifications whilst minimising the costs of their studies.
Structure
4.5 years full-time or part-time equivalent. Students must complete the Psychology specialisation and a major sequence from the Commerce program. Each incorporates a combination of prescribed subjects with elective options.

DOMESTIC STUDENTS - ATAR-BASED ADMISSION OPTIONS Guaranteed entry selection ranks Entry to this course can be gained with: Minimum ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) International Baccalaureate (IB) Interstate equivalent (such as the Victorian ENTER or Queensland OP) Results in an overseas qualification deemed equivalent to Australian year 12 The minimum score for guaranteed entry (or for consideration if this course has limited places) is an ATAR-Selection Rank of 75 or an IB of 26. This includes the effect of adjustment factors. Adjustment factors, such as the subjects you are studying, the area in which you live or equity and access schemes, are taken into consideration and these will be combined with your ATAR to adjust your selection rank and make it higher than your ATAR. These adjustments used to be called bonus points. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia. In order to succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications. This is particularly important for degrees which have a strong basis in Mathematics or Science.dy.
Recognition
For the Bachelor of Psychological Science: Completion of four years in Psychology is an important step for registration as a psychologist in Australia. The Bachelor of Psychological Science is accredited as the first three years of study. To complete the four years students can complete an Honours year to meet the academic requirement for eligibility for provisional registration as a psychologist. An additional two years of supervised practice is necessary to apply for registration as a professional psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia or through an accredited Masters or professional doctoral degree. For the Bachelor of Commerce: Some majors within the Bachelor of Commerce enable graduates to meet the membership requirements of relevant professional associations.
