Telecommunications Engineering is concerned with the design, development, testing and maintenance of all aspects of voice and data communications systems, from satellite and optical fibre networks to data encoding, compression and encryption.Telecommunications is an area of specialisation within the field of Electrical Engineering and gives students the knowledge to change the way the world communicates.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Assumed knowledge: HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and Physics.


Students must complete 60 days of Industrial Training and 168 Units of Credit. Students are strongly encouraged to consult the Electrical Engineering School website for the recommended program structure and for advice on course selection sequences that are consistent with timetabling and availability.
