Established in 1982, Volunteering Queensland Inc (VQ) is a Registered Training Organisation. Its mission is to encourage, recognise, promote and advocate for voluntary participation to benefit the community. VQ delivers nationally the Certificate IV in Volunteer Project Coordination (Volunteer Management) mainly for experienced workers holding post-secondary qualifications. It also delivers Certificate I, II & III Active Volunteering qualifications in which employability skills are central and which may provide employment pathways. In addition to nationally recognised courses, VQ conducts professional development workshops and seminars for LGAs, community organisations, volunteers, those who manage or work with volunteers and those who facilitate community participation, engagement and education.
Entry requirements for Volunteering Queensland Inc
It is preferred that Certificate IV candidates have some experience in an industry sector that engages with volunteers.
Transfering your previous study credits
Volunteering Queensland recognises VET qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other RTO.
External study opportunities
All training is delivered in a blended delivery format as negotiated with each individual candidate. This may include face-to-face workshops, access to resources, webinars and skype/telephone support.
