Graduate Diploma of Midwifery
The Graduate Diploma in Midwifery emphasises a primary health care approach to enable you to participate fully in health promoting activities. A diverse range of teaching and learning experiences are provided to enhance your acquisition of knowledge and midwifery skills. The program provides you with the opportunity to gain a recognised tertiary degree and registration to practise midwifery. It is presented in conjunction with public hospitals in Sydney and is approved and recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency/Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. The Western Sydney University School of Nursing and Midwifery is a national leader in nursing and midwifery education, research and scholarship in Australia. Note: Additional English language proficiency requirements set by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) must be declared and met before you are eligible to commence study in the Graduate Diploma in Midwifery at Western Sydney University.
