Bachelor of Food Studies - Community Engagement

William Angliss Institute VIC

Food studies is an exciting field of study that provides fertile ground for cultivating a holistic understanding of the practical challenges facing government, industry and citizens in how to feed ourselves well. This qualification provides students with a deep understanding of how what we eat shapes the world in which we live. Graduates of this degree will understand how they can actively participate in and contribute to reshaping food systems in the context of concerns regarding health, wellbeing, technology, equity, ethics, sustainability and global asymmetries of power. These concerns necessitate critical thinking skills, innovative ideas and the ability to communicate complex food issues effectively.
