This qualification is part of the Foundation Skills Training Package. It is designed for individuals who need skills to prepare for a vocational pathway qualification or further foundation skills development. It is suitable for individuals who require: a prevocational pathway to employment and vocational training; reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 2; entry level digital technology and employability skills; or education, training and employment goals.

11 units: 7 core; 4 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Use digital technology for simple workplace tasks; Use simple strategies for work-related learning; Identify and use whole numbers and simple fractions, decimals and percentages for work; Identify, measure and estimate familiar quantities for work; Participate in simple spoken interactions at work; Read and respond to simple workplace information; Write simple workplace information. Plus electives.

Established in 1977, Para Worklinks is a non-profit Registered Training Organisation. It aims to provide training and employment services to the Northern Adelaide community with a focus on the most disadvantaged, including the long term unemployed. Key training areas include horticulture, engineering, hospitality, retail and office administration. Para Worklinks is an approved Skills for All provider and also offers short courses in the areas of hospitality and construction.
