They have the best welding engineering training facility in Australia with over 60 work stations with the latest welding technology and the capability to weld anything from carbon steel to the most exotic steels including stainless steel, duplex/super duplex steels, Titanium, CrMo etc., working to all Australian and international codes and all welding positions up to 6G and 6GR and equipment to train & assess/VOC boiler making and pipe fitting/mechanical fittings. Their Perth facility is fully equipped with a subsea underwater welding section. They also have a separate polyethylene/plastic welding section which includes butt fusion, electro fusion, extrusion hot air welding processes, pipe installation, testing and inspection and Chainsaw as well. XLT also has a facility in QLD, 10 minutes from the airport in Northgate.
