Brought to you by Macquarie University
If you’ve changed your mind about which direction you’d like to head in next year, you might be feeling overwhelmed with how and when to adjust your preferences.
While it’s critical that you get your preferences right — to ensure you have the best chance of getting into your dream degree — you can add, delete or change them at any time, including after each offer round.
Below we cover how — but before you make any changes, you should be clear about what you really want to get out of university.

Studying a degree that can be tailored to match your unique interests and goals is possible!

Life at uni
As well as an exceptional study experience, student life could also be on your agenda. There’s a reason Macquarie is ranked #1 in Sydney for teaching quality and learning resources.**
Along with state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities, the university also offers fabulous food outlets, a buzzing bar, exciting events and awesome sporting facilities.
And with a huge range of clubs and societies — from chess, gardening and gaming to cheerleading, fencing and soccer — you’ll connect with your tribe in no time.
Kickstarting your career
Unlike many universities, Macquarie continues to support you after you graduate. Its unique Careers and Student Employment service will match you with industry partners who want to employ students and graduates in paid casual, part-time and full-time roles.
You can access this service for up to a year after you finish your degree.
Changing your preferences
Did you know you can add, delete or change your preferences at any time on the UAC website, including after each offer round?
You can only receive one offer per round, so re-ordering your preferences after each round may give you multiple offers to choose from.
For example, you might receive an offer for your first preference, but decide to move that preference down so that you can be considered for your other preferences in later rounds.
You can check the closing dates for preference changes in each offer round on the UAC website.
