Australia's largest university, Monash has been rated highly by its students in key measures of student experience in the 2018 edition of The Good Universities Guide. 81.1 per cent of Monash students rate Teaching Quality highly and 80.2 per cent give a positive assessment of their Overall Experience.

Monash is leading the country for tourism students. 81.2 per cent rate Learner Engagement highly — more than at any other university in the country. Monash tourism graduates also report the best graduate employment outcomes for their field — 71.9 per cent find Full-Time Employment within four months of graduating and report a median salary of $56,900. National average employment outcomes for tourism graduates are 60.4 per cent employed and a Starting Salary of $48,000.

Monash rates five stars for Student Demand, indicating that places at Monash are sought by students with the highest entrance scores. Monash also rates five stars for Staff Qualifications and Student Retention.

Five-star field of study highlights

Monash University's major success was in the measure of Learner Engagement, where they achieved five stars across five different fields of study. At a field of study level, Monash rated five stars for three measures in two different fields €” nursing and tourism, hospitality, personal services, sport and recreation.
