This program provides a foundational understanding of individuals, groups and social structures, and offers a broad grounding in sociological theory, social systems and social policy. It comprises the first two years of ACAP's Bachelor of Applied Social Science. It incorporates the Bachelor's main theoretical components and maintains an applied focus in the development of counselling or coaching skills. To complete the program students must successfully complete 16 units (six Social Science units, three core Professional Practice units, three core units from the Applied Psychology minor strand; two units from the minor strand in either Counselling or Coaching, and two elective units).
