Start your education journey with the Undergraduate Certificate in Remote Educators. Thinking about a career in education, especially in remote or First Nations communities? This short course is a great way to start. It's designed to help you retrain, reskill, or take your first step into studying education--without jumping straight into a full degree. This course is delivered at the Danala - Education and Community Precinct (ECP) campus in intensive mode. The course focuses on building the essential academic and teaching skills you'll need to succeed at uni and in the classroom. What you'll study: You'll do core units in language and literacy, plus choose from one of two study paths: Early Childhood and Primary Education, First Nations Cultural and Language Education. No matter which path you choose, you'll be supported every step of the way. This course is designed for beginners and helps build your confidence and skills for further university study. Where this course can take you: When you finish, you can use the units you've passed as credit towards further study in: Diploma of Educational Studies, Associate Degree of First Nations Cultural and Language Education, Bachelor of Education Early Childhood and Primary. You can also use this certificate to apply for other uni courses. If you go on to further study, you might get credit (advanced standing) for some or all of the units you've already completed. Just check the course details of your next degree to confirm what transfers over.

Structure
This 40-credit point course consists of one (1) core unit and three (3) specialist electives. This course consists of a combination of introductory and first-year degree subjects, designed to aid students in developing the necessary skills for successful university studies.
Entry requirements
- Admission requirements are met by one of the following:
- Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent).
- Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
- Successful completion of at least 0. 5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
- Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
- Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 125 or higher.
- Successful completion of a recognized tertiary preparation course.
- Submission of an acceptable personal competencies statement and/or employment experience.
