Why study with usStudents are taught by industry leaders and are offered a hands-on, collaborative approach to learning. Collarts strives to support those who want to succeed in the creative and entertainment industries, both nationally and internationally. Throughout their education, students are given opportunities to gain work experience at events and organisations at the forefront of contemporary culture.
Facilities & ServicesStudents learn across four incredible inner-city campuses located in Fitzroy and Collingwood: Wellington St (music studios, post-production rooms, auditoriums, rehearsal spaces, Mac-Labs), Brunswick St (sound-proofed rehearsal spaces, music studios), Cromwell St (textiles library, PC-Labs), and George St campus (photography studio, sewing facilities, black box theatre).
Admission & SelectionAdmission Criteria for each Collarts course is different, and varies depending on the candidate’s background, qualifications and previous experience.
However, applicants for all of our courses must undertake a 30-minute interview. During the interview, we will ask you questions about your knowledge and experience in your field of interest as well as discuss your course choice with you. Applicants for the Bachelor of Arts (Music) must complete an audition as well as an interview.
