This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to practice as a speech pathologist. Students will study a broad range of disciplines including psychology, medical sciences, linguistics and phonetics, as well as professional practice. To facilitate the high level of independent clinical decision making required of graduates, the course uses a range of contemporary teaching practices. Throughout the course, students benefit from valuable practical experience in a range of clinical settings, including the purpose-built Allied Health Clinic at CQUniversity Rockhampton.

This course is presently not accredited with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). A new application has been made for CQUniversity to achieve accreditation status.
