This one year full time equivalent course is for educators in a broad range of fields related to education who hold a four-year teacher education degree or equivalent. The course curriculum builds on students' professional knowledge with an emphasis on critical and independent thinking. The course consists of coursework units, including a Negotiated Research Project. Successful completion of the course may enable students to undertake doctoral level study.

Subjects
- All students complete three core units and including a negotiated research project unit. Students then select four optional units. Optional units are available from three areas, namely Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
- Language, Literacy and Applied Linguistics
- and, Advanced Pedagogies. Students may choose optional units from any of the three areas or focus on units within one area.
