Master of Geospatial Information Systems
The course provides students with advanced knowledge of the theory and application of geospatial information systems (GIS) and Earth observation. The course provides a theoretical and practical framework for graduates from a range of backgrounds, as well as those from the public sector and non government organisations wishing to extend their choice of career path by acquiring knowledge and skills in the capture, analysis and communication of spatially referenced information.

Structure
To qualify for the Master of Geospatial Information Systems, a student must complete 72 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic.

Entry requirements
- Applicants who do not hold the Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Information Systems or the Graduate Diploma in Geospatial Information Systems must normally hold a degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
- However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
- The Master of Geospatial Information Systems is not available to graduates of the Bachelor of Geospatial Information Systems or of equivalent undergraduate courses from other tertiary institutions.
