This course gives students a broad understanding of all aspects of IT leading to further studies in computing science, information systems, computer programming, systems design, database administration, interactive web development and software engineering. Through introduction to these areas of Information Technology, students will be better able to choose their preferred major at Bachelor degree level.

Successful graduates may have up to 80 credit points (1 year) granted towards a relevant Bachelor degree program at Griffith University as well as a number of other Australian universities. Students are required to meet the GPA requirements set by Griffith University in order to progress to the 2nd year of the selected bachelor degree.
