Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Level:
CRICOS: 00117J

Pursue your passion for environmental management in the Tropics and advance your chosen field through a unique contribution of knowledge. In the Doctor of Tropical Environmental Management, you will investigate a proposed research topic (discussed with and approved by an appropriate research advisor) through original research and extensive analysis of existing knowledge on that topic. The research component comprises two-thirds of the program and takes the form of a supervised research and/or development project, culminating in the submission of a thesis that makes a significant contribution to tropical environmental management, science and wellbeing promotion. As you investigate your chosen topic, you will increase your cognitive skills and intellectual independence as you evaluate existing knowledge and ideas. You will also think creatively to produce your own original contribution to that knowledge. Depending on the type of research you undertake, you will develop expert technical and creative skills applicable to your chosen area of tropical environmental management.
