This program is for graduates wishing to enter JCU's higher research degrees, who may not have the appropriate research experience to meet the Division entry requirements. It provides graduates with sufficient research experience to enter some research master programs at JCU.

12 credit points of subjects. The program is determined in consultation with the relevant Dean of College.

Standard entry requirements
- Completion of an AQF level 8 qualification in a relevant discipline with a minimum grade point average of 5.0 (credit average) in the final year
- And a grade of credit (65%) or better in a minimum of one advanced research methods or analysis subject
- Or equivalent.
Study pathways
Students with a GPA of 5.0 (credit) may be eligible for admission to a Masters by research. Students with a GPA of 6.0 (Distinction) for the Graduate Certificate of Research Methods may be eligible for direct admission to a PhD.
