The Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Medical) provides a pathway into the graduate entry Doctor of Medicine offered by the University of Melbourne in Shepparton for regional and rural students intending to practice medicine in a regional or rural location. In this pre-medicine course, you'll combine the fields of biology, pharmacology and medicine. You will learn about the human body, its structure and its functions. This includes understanding how disease manifests and how drug strategies are used to treat disease. Entry requirements

Recent secondary education - VTAC prerequisite: Year 12 English prerequisite (25) - Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.
Recent secondary education - UAC prerequisite: Year 12 English prerequisite (Band 3) - equivalent to VCE 25 - One of English Standard, English Advanced (Band 3), English as an Additional Language or Dialect (Band 4).
Non Year 12 - Higher Education study: HE prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Prerequisite Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
A minimum unadjusted prerequisite ATAR of 80.00 or GPA 5.11+ in a degree award qualification based on a minimum of 1.00 equivalent full time study load (EFTSL), whichever is higher.
Previous secondary and Higher Education studies must have been undertaken within the last 10 years.
