This intensive program offers tuition in the practise and theory of equine business management. Students are required to have a horse at the College. Horses are available for overseas students, and possibly some interstate students.
Structure
Intensive one year course with on-campus tuition and local, interstate and international study tours. 2 work placements. This one year Diploma of Equine Management consists of eight units. Each unit carries equal weighting and all eight units must be successfully completed to be awarded the Diploma. The eight units are: Human Resource and Information Management, Equine Business Systems 1, Equine Business Systems 2, Equine Science 1, Equine Science 2, Equine Husbandry and Management Horse Industry Elective, Horse Business Management.

- Year 12
- Minimum age 18 years at start of the College academic year, and experience with horses
- Or mature age entry with relevant experience

Further information
The Equine Management Unit includes a Special Interest Study Contract (SISC) and two periods of practical placement. These features provide an opportunity for the student to allocate extra focus and gain extra experience in a particular area of interest to them. During the practical placement periods students will be able to gain relevant work experience on prominent horse establishments throughout Australia and New Zealand.
